APEX Bamboo Pole Vaulting to 2012

monday,(04/10/2010) on studio time we all have some discussion about "Lompatan APEX Ke 2012" that had organized by Bamboo Interest Group (BIG).APEX journey start since year 2007.Foundation was being lay since 2007 and begin from this year(2010) USM start to deliver excellence after foundation was lay .the summary from the discussion is USM must have on paradigm shift to achieve APEX status on 2012 mean the benchmark is from 3P theory.The theory is social (people),environment (place) and economic (money) had related on each others.But wan B say "we don't have money" then money have changed to principle.

The Questions that have been ask by audience :

We are now preparing for the 2012 big flood. How if flood doesn't come but tornado happens?
- That's why we need other component to enhance our invention. Anyway, we do not expect that to happen.

Is there any preservation for bamboo? What is the life-span of a un-preserved bamboo?
- We have no idea. So we actually need a research group that help us in this. It might last very long, like the 150 years old Istana Buluh of Kuala Kangsar.

Are there any other field that bamboo can contributes to beside construction industry?
- Yes. Medical field such as. There have been research showing that bamboo can actually cure penyakit gila babi.

How does bamboo contribute to APEX in the lead to the top 200 university in the world? How it fill into it?
- We do not take anything as model. We lead in stead. Bamboos are able to unite all of us. It contributes in the changing of the system, co-curriculum, etc. We do not depend on other people to achieve the number / ranking. We believe in creating a continuous place for people to save the nature. We crash assumption! futeremore,if our desigd is the best,our ranking alsa will increase.

LOOKING BACK.

For the first day in studio,the lecturer introduce us to all the courses in HBP school & also the lecturers.for the erly first month,i am blur & cannot addapt myself in USM but later on im familiar to it.my background are i am from Pontian,Johor.my father is a taxi driver & my mother is factories worker.my living are not very well.when i got the message from USM that i got USM to future study,i was very happy,and i want to be a good quantity surveyor in the future & i want to change my family's live and i want my parents sits at home &dont have to work.the past we cannot change but the future is in our hands.

LOOKING FORWARD.

How and what am i going to contribute for the disaster that has been predicted to happen on the 21st December 2012.?

As an USM HBP student,i take a small responsibility,such as making the survival kit for people











this survival kit include the medicines,knife,matches & rope so that we can survive during the disaster.



i also will try to be a good QS and build the building that can prove the disaster.i hope my small contribution can change the world.

The hand holding the World means,the future of our world is in our hands.we change the world.other,something good or bad.we decide it.

The clock means,time runs very fast.we felt that the time in the world are too short to spend and we should spend wisely.

The pole with all the examination that we have attempt it in the past means,when we see the pole such as the UPSR,PMR,SPM & STPM then we can flash back whan happened in that time.all the memories are being flash back.the memories at the school are the most valuable and precious things we ever had.we cannot go back again like that again.gather in the small classroom and study together,laughing,and have fun.lastly examination together.school also teach us the meaning of life.the true friends and how to be a truely human being.I love all the memories in school.by the way,the pole with the word UNIVERSITY means we are in university now studying for our own future.the meaning of the unwriten word at the pole is we decide it our own self.

The conclusion is this monument describes the past and its refresh our mind to remember the memories at the past.who ever see the monument will remember the past memories.

Study of Water-based Epoxy Foam,2004
The matrix of this foam is based on cross-linked polymers so that, like the bulk plastics from which they are derived, they have generally good resistance to solvents and most chemical.We can produce epoxy foam with the properties like rubber foam without adding any rubber in the ingredient and it feel like rubber and not like ordinary epoxy foam, which is either very elastic or rigid.
Advantages..:
1-environmental friendly because of the use of water as the medium.
2-cheap because only simple equipments are used in producing this rubbery epoxy foam.
3-time produce is very short.
4-very good recovery property because it means that the foams will retain its original shape after it was deformed .
5-can float very easily.


Design:-A capsule made up from a water-based epoxy form.
-can make for many people in shortest time because it can produce in short time.
-It is water proved and suitable to be used inside the IBU and also in PONDOK.
-It is carryable as it is design same as the usual bag but it is compact.

-can use as buoy.
- it is durable.
Supplies in a survival kit contain a knife, matches,
rope
, first aid kit and an LED flashlight with batteries,some canned food.

Urbanity13-Ogos-2010En Wan B telah memberi tugasan berkaitan urbanity dan tugasan ini perlu dijalankan mengikut kumpulan yang terdiri daripada 6orang. kami perlu membuat kajian sekeliling Penang Times Square berkaitan ruang,bentuk dan perlu merancang satu aturcara untuk melepaskan belon pada 30 Ogos,jam 11;59..kami perlu mengkaji tempat yg sesuai untuk melepaskan belon dan bagaimana cara belon tersebut dilepskan.Tugasan ini perlu dihantar dalam bentuk power point pada 16 ogos dan laporan penuh mengenai merdeka celebration.

En Wan B telah memberi tugasan berkaitan urbanity dan tugasan ini perlu dijalankan mengikut kumpulan yang terdiri daripada 6orang. kami perlu membuat kajian sekeliling Penang Times Square berkaitan ruang,bentuk dan perlu merancang satu aturcara untuk melepaskan belon pada 30 Ogos,jam 11;59..kami perlu mengkaji tempat yg sesuai untuk melepaskan belon dan bagaimana cara belon tersebut dilepskan.

Tugasan ini perlu dihantar dalam bentuk power point pada 16 ogos dan laporan penuh mengenai merdeka celebration.

Pada hari Isnin yang lalu,En Wan B telah memberi tugasan kepada kami supaya membuat mask..Kami perlu membuatnya mengikut kreativiti masing-masing..Kami perlu membuat 2 mask iaitu yang pertama mengikut warna kulit dan yang lagi satu hitam putih disamping membuat ekspresi muka...,kami perlu memakai pakaian hitam semasa menghantar tugasan ini...

bamboo sound tool (BST)


















Pada 23 julai,wan b telah memberi tugasan kepada saya berkaitan dengan"bamboo"..kami perlu menggunakan buluh sebagai sumber utama dalam tugasan ini untuk membuat alatan muzik (BST)..buluh tadi boleh digabungkan dengan material lain agar dapat menghasilkan bunyi.



ini lah hasil BST saya..mengunakan dua ruas buluh tua dan sebatang buluh yang telah di potong untuk menjadikan sebagai pemukul.walaupun ia kelihatan ringkas namun ia boleh menghasilkan bunyi yang pelbagai rentak.BST saya berfungsi seperti sebuah dram.

firstly,it is the intentions.than it is folowed by act.and the last thing is productions.
the intentions must do by the actors.in the other hands,the act must follow the rules.we cannot act without rule.the production must have place.
